Chislehurst Glebe FC is delighted to have been named Club of the Year at the 2026 London Football Grassroots Awards, recognising the contribution our club, volunteers, coaches, players and supporters make to grassroots football across our community.
The award was presented at a special ceremony at the historic Guildhall in the City of London on Monday 7 September, bringing together clubs, leagues, coaches, referees and volunteers from across the capital.
This year’s awards attracted an impressive 250 nominations across 12 categories, with winners selected following a judging process involving London Football staff and external stakeholders.
For Chislehurst Glebe FC to be selected as Club of the Year, from among the many grassroots clubs making an impact across London, is an achievement of which everyone associated with the Foxes can be immensely proud.

A Club Built on Its People
This award belongs to the entire Chislehurst Glebe FC community.
From the coaches and volunteers who give their time week after week, to our players, parents, committee members, supporters and everyone working behind the scenes, the strength of Chislehurst Glebe FC has always been the people who make the club what it is.
Our dedicated volunteers have worked incredibly hard over the past thirty-one years to build Chislehurst Glebe FC into the thriving, inclusive and community-focused club it is today.
The recognition reflects the commitment that goes into providing opportunities to play football, developing players and teams, supporting our local community and creating a positive environment in which people can enjoy the game.
Paul Bickerton, CEO of London FA, highlighted the dedication behind this year’s award winners:
“The stories we’ve celebrated through this year’s Grassroots Awards are a true reflection of dedication, resilience, and passion for the game.
“Each winner and highly commended embodies the spirit of our football community, from volunteers and coaches to players and clubs, whose tireless efforts make the game thrive at every level.”
Reflecting on the award, Rocky McMillan of Chislehurst Glebe FC, said:
“To be named Club of the Year is an incredibly proud moment for everyone associated with Chislehurst Glebe FC. This recognition belongs to the players, coaches, volunteers, parents, supporters and partners who give so much to the club and make it what it is today.
“Our ambition has always been for Chislehurst Glebe FC to be more than just a football club. We want to create opportunities, develop players and provide a positive environment where people can enjoy football and feel part of something.
“To receive this recognition from London FA means a great deal to all of us. We are enormously proud of what the Foxes have achieved together and excited about what comes next.”
Double Recognition for Chislehurst Glebe FC
It was also a particularly special evening for Rocky McMillan, who was named Highly Commended in the Bobby Moore Award category.
Being recognised individually among the outstanding people contributing to grassroots football across London is a fantastic achievement and another proud moment for everyone associated with Chislehurst Glebe FC.
Together, the two honours made it an evening to remember for the Foxes: Chislehurst Glebe FC – Club of the Year, alongside Rocky McMillan – Highly Commended for the Bobby Moore Award.
