We are thrilled to announce that the club has been successfully shortlisted for two awards at the London FA Grassroots Football Awards 2026.
The London FA Grassroots Football Awards celebrate everyone who makes grassroots football happen. The people and organisations giving their time, energy, and passion to the game.
This year’s awards saw a high volume of engagement from the community, with 250 nominations received across 12 different categories. These submissions highlight the incredible stories of volunteers working across every pitch in London to ensure that football remains accessible to all.
Following a rigorous selection process, Chislehurst Glebe FC has made the final shortlist for the Club of the Year Award and our Chairman, Rocky McMillan has been shortlisted for The Bobby Moore Award in recognition of his contribution to grassroots football for over 30 years. This award honours the volunteers who shape grassroots football at its core, helped to grow the game, supported players and volunteers, and ensured football truly reflects its community
London FA CEO, Paul Bickerton, said: “The London FA extends its warmest congratulations to our shortlist on this fantastic achievement. There was an incredibly a high volume of quality nominations this year and so being shortlisted is a real testament to your dedication and the vital role you play as part of the London Football community. We look forward to celebrating your success and thank you for the incredible impact you have made on our great game.”
Chislehurst Glebe FC Chairman, Rocky McMillan said “To be shortlisted alongside so many fantastic clubs and volunteers across London is a huge honour. This recognition belongs to everyone involved at Chislehurst Glebe FC — our volunteers, coaches, committee members, parents and players — who continue to make the club such a positive place for everyone to enjoy football.”
All shortlisted nominees will be celebrated at a prestigious Grassroots Awards ceremony on Monday 7 September 2026. The event will be held at the Guildhall, hosted in partnership with the City of London. The final winners for each category will be officially announced on the night during the ceremony.
